You can use the calculator in two ways:
• to compute the resistance of the wire (R) when you know the material the wire is made of, either the diameter of the wire (d) or the cross-sectional area of the wire (S) and the length of the wire (L)
• to find the length of the wire (L) when you know the material, either the diameter (d) or cross-sectional area (S) and the desired resistance of the wire (R)
